I taught beauty school, once upon a time. Apparently, I'm teaching it again.
I dug out my old teaching notes, lesson plans and all the ridiculous memory tricks I used to help my students remember what they needed to know.
Now I'm turning them into lessons, tests and practical demonstrations for anyone studying cosmetology—or anyone who just needs somebody to explain this stuff a little differently.

Miss Shaunett Says...
I used to tell my students that sometimes you don't need another definition. You need a ridiculous way to remember the definition.
So that's what I did.
My lessons are full of the same memory tricks, sayings and slightly ridiculous explanations I used in the classroom. If it helped somebody remember it for the test, I used it.
PROTON = PRO = POSITIVE
If you remember “pro,” you can remember positive.
CURRENT FLOWS
Think of the current in a river. It flows.
CATHODE = CATS = NEGATIVE
Miss Shaunett is allergic to cats. Cats are negative. 😂
If it's ridiculous enough to stick in your head, it did its job.
